Lonely Vineyard Montepulciano 2017, Eden Valley From the Horseshoe Vineyard at Eden Valley at 440m. Dark red and deeply hued. More black-fruited than red, with licorice straps and floral notes. The floral notes are more pronounced on the palate, enhancing the redcurrant and cranberry flavours. Tannins are soft, with just a whisker of chalkiness, which helps to keep the finish bright and sapid. Really enjoyable. David Bicknell Published 01 August 2019
