About this product

A superb vintage for both Saperavi and Shiraz. The ripening was steady and untroubled by heat spikes; allowing ample time to lay down flavour and intensity. Unbelievably dark colours and amazing depth of flavour on the vine that steadily built throughout maturation. A smooth and successful op.

Bouquet:
Chunky, dense, and invitingly unusual. The Black Ops is a blunderbuss of fruit and spice, loaded with plums, roses, anise, cloves, and thyme.

Palate:
An enormous mid-palate supports prettier florals amongst the deeper black fruit and mollasses notes. The tight, balanced fruit, is crunchy, fresh, and intense.

Food Match:
Take the path less travelled: kangaroo with dukkah crust or redcurrant glaze; or maybe roast pork brushed with soy and black bean.
