Nova VitaFirebird Adelaide Hills Saignee Rose 2017
About this product
Our 2017 “Saignee” Rose is made from equal portions of Sangiovese, Shiraz and Cabernet all sourced from our vineyards in the Adelaide Hills and matured in older French oak wine barrels. The wine is a mix of fruit flavours showing lots of raspberry sorbet, fresh cherry, red current and a hint of savoury with a lovely acid backbone. Its prefect for seafood and canapes or any reason to just have a drink. This wine is vegan friendly.

A blend of sangiovese, shiraz and cabernet, this is a complex makeup: six barrels were bled to concentrate the ensuing red wines. The result is this heady pink rose, in turn, wild-fermented and matured in older wood for 8 months. Brisk and on the cusp of savour over sweet sap, a melody of maraschino cherry, orange rind and raspberry skitter along a skein of vibrant acidity. A solid effort.
