Golden Duke is the flagship of Shustov, a distiller crafting fine, award-winning brandies near Odessa Ukraine. Made in the same way as Cognac, the spirits are aged for at least 20 years. For greater harmony of flavour, the final blend is aged in oak barrels for a further 3 years before bottling. Golden Duke is noted for its softness and delicacy. In the year 1900, Shustov was granted the right to label its spirits ‘cognac’ after a brandy entered in a Paris competition was awarded the Grand Prix.
