89/8/3% cabernet sauvignon/cabernet franc/petit verdot, matured for 15 months in French oak (20% new). Another beautiful, approachable and ready-now release from the Lifestyle range. Plump, supple and moving to floral, with fine structure and decent length. There's a little hint of crushed ant and gravel/ferrous on the nose that elevates the drinking experience here. Unmissable at the price.

This is predominantly cabernet, but small bits of petit verdot, cabernet franc, and malbec have played their role in completing an excellent wine for drinking in the medium term. Colour is deep and dark red, and the nose displays a Margaret River combination of blackcurrant, bay leaf, a little black olive, and fruitcake. The palate is medium-bodied but with good fruit intensity, deep red dark fruits released with the support of some fine sinewy tannins and some nice subtle cedary oak influence. Displays excellent concentration and weight, and offers wonderful current drinking. Cellar: 8 years.
