About this product

The Margaret River wine region has built an international reputation as a home of fine wine in Australia. A relatively small producer of Australian wine, the region produces a massive 20% of Australia’s premium wine. It is a region that is more than capable of producing wines to match the world's best, offering powerful, yet elegant, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Semillon/Sauvignon Blanc blends.
The Loose Leaf wines, from the wine makers of Forester Estate, provide an opportunity to experience the best of these varieties from the Margaret River wine region.

Modern white winemaking techniques are employed in the production of these wines, with temperature control considered critical from the moment the fruit reaches the winery.
For the white wines, the fruit is destemmed and crushed, then must chilled and pressed off skins in a very short space of time. It is allowed to cold settle for 48-72 hours before being racked in a clarified state to a fermentation tank.
For the red wines, each parcel of fruit was gently crushed into small open fermenters where fermentation was carried out under strict temperature-controlled conditions. Gentle extraction was achieved by daily draining of wine away from skins and returning back over the top. After 12 months of maturation in barrel, the wine was carefully blended to achieve this easy drinking style.
