Night-harvested, crushed and destemmed to static fermenters where it was cold-soaked before fermentation, matured in French and Hungarian oak for 14 months. Richer and deeper than its Black Label sibling, yet still has a degree of elegance and freshness to its medium-bodied palate. The purity of the varietal expression is striking, and you have to wonder where the oak went. A very smart wine at this price, good now and 10 years down the track.

Ripe and juicy like a slushy bucket of recently pulped mulberries. Its vivid, primal purple colour gives warning of the juicy ripeness to come. There are some welcome, fine, grippy tannins to hold all of this bouyant, slurpy fruit goodness together. A thoroughly enjoyable malbec.
