Plush, plummy, and showing juicy blueberries and mulberry richness and colour. There's attractive brambly savouriness to add interest to the generous, soft palate. It carries the fragrance of freshly crushed berries and the seriousness that only high grade fruit and solid winemaking can bring.

Ferngrove has long shown commitment to the Malbec variety, often marking it for varietal release. A good thing. Theres a background of complex, leathery, earthen, almost animale-like flavour but the overlay is soft, vanillin, plum-shot and floral. It works as a straight-up, easy-to-drink red wine but if you want to explore its personality, there are dimensions to be explored.
