5 stars. This is staggeringly delicious. Gorgeous aromas of black/blueberry, plum jelly, chocolate tart, vanilla and cedar with nuances of black olive and warm spice on the nose. The palate is concentrated and powerful with loads of ripe fruit flavours backed by velvety mouthfeel and silky tannins. The wine is sumptuous and opulent, while offering firm structure and harmony. Brick red colour with spicy, dark chocolate coated blackberry, red currant, leather and spice. Cedary oak and a mid-weight palate finishing with black pepper. Still fresh and just starting to develop integrated, mellow aged characters, but essentially still showing lush, primary fruit .
