About this product
Elegant, vibrant and complex. The Barossa Valley was discovered and named (including the clerical error when registering the name) by Colonel Light in 1839 after the ‘Battle of Barrosa’, a battle Light had fought in. Alluvial fans are the clay, sand and gravel subsoils of the Barossa Valley flats. We select parcels of fruit from this area to produce this contemporary Australian Shiraz with vibrant fruit, structure, poise and complexity.

Unmistakably, this is a Barossa shiraz. Not big and unwieldy, like they can be, but fresh, medium weighted and retaining all of the characteristics we enjoy about shiraz from that famous region. A mix of vigorous, juicy red and black fruit, a sprinkle of pepper spice and a touch of licorice for added depth, all flowing evenly in the same direction.

Plum, lots of oak. Jubey Barossa fruit. Good generosity on the palate. For lovers of old fashioned Barossa Shiraz. An honest style.
