About this product

A blend of three Pinot noir clones, 114, 115 and MV6, from the Maddens Rise vineyard. The wine was wild fermented in small open fermenters before maturation in older French oak, including large format casks, for eight months. It underwent a malolactic fermentation before being bottled without fining or filtration. A savoury, earthy pinot with a classic burgundy red colour.

As we've often said, many Pinots don't age well and this one certainly hasn't. Brownish in colour, little flavour and thin. We were so disappointed we sent it all back. No problems with that with Dan's which is why we shop there.

Was pretty disappointed with this wine also - would never buy again. Dans are pretty good with returns luckily.
