Maddens RisePinot Noir 2012
About this product
A blend of three Pinot noir clones, 114, 115 and MV6, from the Maddens Rise vineyard. The wine was wild fermented in small open fermenters before maturation in older French oak, including large format casks, for eight months. It underwent a malolactic fermentation before being bottled without fining or filtration. A savoury, earthy pinot with a classic burgundy red colour.

Hits the spot in terms of texture and flavour without ever quite hitting the heights. Cherry-plum, forest and dry herbs with perfumed cranberry-like notes rising through the finish. No shortage of drinking appeal.
