The Transcontinental Rum Line is inspired by rum casks' historical trips between the New World and the Old Continent. From the beginning of its production, rum has always been shipped to Europe for nautical, economical and technical reasons.
Transcontinental Rum Line Nicaragua 2004 2 Glass Giftpack was distilled on 1 December 2004. This version was aged first in a tropical climate until June 2015 and then for more than 2 years in a continental climate. It has a very complex nose, in which every aroma is put with rare precision in its rightful place. The palate is full of energy, showing both wonderful depth and lots of breadth. The very juicy finish reveals lovely wood notes. Each of these stages would stand out on their own – but together we witness a wonderful feat of teamwork.

Tasting Notes: The big initial nose is fruity with orange, cocoa, apricots and floral notes. It develops into sweet notes of crème brûlée and exotic fruit. The mouthfeel is silky but also spicy. The mid-palate is liquoricey with ginger. The extremely juicy finish offers delicious orange flavours as it develops into spiced bread and bourbon vanilla with notes of wood and toast at the end of the palate.
