2014 HAAN WINES WILHELMUS   GRAPE VARIETIES:         47% Cabernet Sauvignon, 18% Merlot, 16% Cabernet Franc, 11% Malbec, 8% Petit Verdot   VINTAGE:                            2014   REGION:                              Barossa Valley   TYPICAL ANALYSIS:               15% Alc/vol   OPTIMAL DRINKING:     Cellaring for another 8 to 10 years will see the individual components of this wine develop into an exceedingly complex and beautiful blend.   COLOUR: Rich berry red   BOUQUET:                          Distinct fresh berry aroma with herbal, leafy overtones   PALATE:                              The palate is dominated by upfront plum fruits and balanced by complex spices and herbs.  The oak provides a smokey, dusty oak finish with fine, silky tannins.   VITICULTURE:                  Low yielding fruit grown on Haan Estate vineyard   WINEMAKING/MATURATION Each  variety is  picked at  its  own  distinct  maturity so maximizing the flavor.  Individual oak selection is tailored for each variety, using a combination of new and once used French oak barriques.
