Claymore WinesYNWA The Boot Room Clare Valley Shiraz 2017
About this product
An enticing wine that greets you with violets, squashed
blackcurrants with an alluring hint of olive and licorice that
intensifies with every swirl.
Elegance, subtle integration and balance of fruit with oak are all attributes of this wine. With dark fruit flavours of blood plums and blackcurrants and a depth of flavour from oak integration that lifts rather than overpowers, this vintage typifies Clare Valley and all it has to offer.
Each component used in the blending of the Bootroom creates a Shiraz that exemplifies certain characteristics of the Clare Valley. From Leasingham to just north of the Clare Valley township, we had access to parcels that defined the sub-regions of Clare and work harmoniously to create a full, rich and balanced Shiraz. Combined with careful oak selection with 30% New French Oak and 70% older French and American barrels, this Shiraz will continue to give for the next 8-10 years.
