It's sweet and jammy but there's plenty of heft and it slips down well. Indeed I served this to some casual wine folks and they thought it mighty good. Raspberries, toffee, black jelly beans and crushed dry leaves. Peppercorn maybe. Ample alcohol warmth. Red berried rather than black, but generous from all directions.

Lovely and fresh from the get go. Freshly crushed raspberry and blue fruits, wiith a whisper of oak and cranberry-like crunchy tannins. Fresh acidity. Modern approachable and delicious. The ultimate crowd-pleaser and terrific value.
