Vintage 2018
90 points
Open-fermented with 30% whole bunches, matured in French oak (15% new) for 10 months. An expressive bouquet of spice and forest, although there is a faintly minty edge to the back-palate and finish.

Deepish red/purple hue, excellent colour. The bouquet is spicy and dark cherry to liqueur cherry; there's little artifact to add nuances. The wine is medium to full-bodied and texturally firm, with plenty of grip and density, the aftertaste lingering on well. It's not very detailed but it's still young. A serious pinot with concentration and drive, backbone and power.
