Jeanneret WinesRank & File Shiraz 2017
About this product
Dark. Dark and inky in the glass which immediately tells a bit of a story about the intensity of this wine. The nose is pretty but no shrinking violet – though it does smell a bit like violets. Violets and plums with just enough oak to add a further dimension. The wine’s impossibly soft, juicy, silky and seamless. It’s rich, it’s round, it’s long, it’s velvety. It’s really, really delightful. It’s delicious.

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.
Dry wines have no trace of sweetness at all.

Wonderfully ripe and fragrant, this gorgeous shiraz shows blackberry, blackcurrant, dark chocolate and cedar characters with nuances of truffle and olive. It is succulent and velvety on the palate with excellent mid palate weight and fruit intensity, leading to a lingering gratifying finish. At its best: now to 2027.
