About this product
2017 Jeanneret Cabernet Malbec
Almost black with a bright purple rim. Impossibly rich nose of cassis and red berries with big spicy notes complimenting the medley of aromas. The palate is textured and mouth watering with great firmness and grip from the cabernet and a big fleshy middle thanks to that fantastic, dark, savoury malbec. It’s very, very approachable now and will gain character and complexity over the next 5 years or so.
2018 Jeanneret GSM
The single thing I like most about this wine is that when you smell it and taste it, the three varieties are individually apparent. There’s the juicy, fruitiness of the Grenache, the more savoury and darker influence of the Shiraz and then there’s that Malbec which is all red fruits. As a whole it’s magnificent and it’s spicy and fruity in a Christmas pudding sort of way. The palate is pretty and harmonious too. This is a wine that’s nice and easy to drink if you just want a drink and gives you plenty to contemplate if you feel like knuckling down and thinking about the wine.
2018 Jeanneret Rank & File Shiraz
Dark. Dark and inky in the glass which immediately tells a bit of a story about the intensity of this wine. The nose is pretty but no shrinking violet – though it does smell a bit like violets. Violets and plums with just enough oak to add a further dimension. The wine’s impossibly soft, juicy, silky and seamless. It’s rich, it’s round, it’s long, it’s velvety. It’s really, really delightful. It’s delicious.

Cabernet Malbec 2017: Cabernet blended with Malbec is so 'Clare Valley'. This Jeanneret version is right on the money. The rich, expressive fruit is grown in some of the best dirt in the Clare Valley, and it shows. Beautifully ripened with generous, plush plum and mulberry flavours. Fresh and immediately appealing, yet with the structure to last.

Jeanneret GSM 2017: It is richly fruited and perfumed on the nose showing dark plum, blueberry jam, vanilla and hazelnut characters with a touch of floral lift. The palate delivers lovely weight and fleshy mouthfeel, wonderfully supported by silky texture and fine tannins. Generous and flavoursome with plenty of tasty flavours. At its best: now to 2027
