It features a complex nose, featuring blackberry, liquorice, tar, spice and cherry oak. The resounding sophisticated palate features fine tannins leading to a long finish. There is a delicate nervy balance between savouriness and sweet fruit with an emphasis on balance and length for a resounding echo of flavour.

Shades of grey in a red wine glass. There is so much going on here, yet no single flavour or texture stands out: fruit, spice, oak, tannins all flit silently in and out of view. There is nothing tawdry about the wine, which breaks free on its finish and aftertaste.
