Levantine HillGlen Garvald Rose 2021
About this product
The 2021 vintage Glen Garvald Rosé represents our follow-up foray into tapping into the potential of Grenache and its sun-loving Mediterranean stablemates as stand-alone varieties and malleable blends presenting us options as possible future strengths and mainstays of the Yarra Valley.
Featuring beguiling aromas of macerated strawberries, red cherries, mandarin zest, ginger, musk, maquis and granite, the palate follows with lively flavours of strawberries and cream, blood orange, rhubarb, alfalfa, tahini and fennel seed. The colour is vibrant suggesting impact and dryness, the aroma bold and enticing, the palate draws long, juicy and textural indicating a very promising long game for this style and blend in our Valley.

Rose from the Yarra Valley with what can only be described as an interesting varietal make-up 65% Grenache, 24% PInot Noir, 7% Carignan and 4% Shiraz. Pale copper-crimson. textural, fluid, juicy and dry. A heart of raspberry, an edge of sweet woodsy spice, florals in the fall-off. It's tasty, interesting and well sustained, It's more-ish too, importantly. I'm becoming more and more of a fan of this Glen Garvald range with every wine that I try.
