A perfect demonstration of the way Mount Barker riesling needs at least 5 years to begin to show its potential. In '08 the wine won a bronze medal (and received 89 points from me), by '10 it was winning a gold medal at the WA Wine Show, in '12 a gold medal and trophy at the Perth Wine Show, and in '13 won a gold medal at the prestigious Decanter World Wine Awards. It is very similar to the '09, with its ability to present a fine-boned, minerally structure interwoven with fresh lime juice and stone fruit flavours.
