Château TanundaSingle Vineyard Eden Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2023
About this product
The Château Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon displays deep, rich purple and red hues.
The bouquet has lifted aromas of blackcurrant, redcurrant and spice on the velvety smooth palate with hints of cedar and mint. The extensive finish is framed by elegant, fine-grained tannins from 18 months' maturation in a combination of new and seasoned French oak barrels
Winemaking
The Chateau Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon s grown on our estate vineyard in the cool climate of the Eden Valley.
The grapes are destemmed, but not crushed, and spend seven days on their skins in open fermenters with regular battonage to more gently extract colour, flavours and tannins. Following fermentation, the wine is carefully basket pressed prior to maturation in a combination of new and seasoned French oak barrels for 18 months.

It's splendidly fragrant on the nose with aromas of blackcurrant, thyme, fennel, and roasted nuts. The palate displays succulent fruit intensity with a silky texture and fine-grained tannins, finishing harmonious and lingering. At its best: now to 2037.

The effortless ease of a slightly lighter-bodied cabernet that is typical of Eden Valley is evident immediately. The cooler climes have produced a wine that is elegant and most stylish. Slightly plummy blackberry notes on the nose with a palate that is integrated and smooth as it proceeds effortlessly to a long focused finish. Cellar: 12 years
