Château TanundaGrand Barossa Shiraz
About this product
Tasting Notes
Grand Barossa Shiraz epitomises the premium international reputation for Shiraz which has made the Barossa Valley famous.
Lifted aromas of blackberry, plum and black pepper are accompanied by spicy, dark berry fruits on the palate.
WINEMAKING
All of the grapes are fermented in small batches to retain their sub-regional characters. After destemming, the wine ferments for 7 days on skins in small open fermenters and is hand plunged twice daily. This encourages maximum extraction yet retaining the dense, spicy fruit flavours which Shiraz is renowned for.
The wine is gently pressed before spending up to 12 months in a combination of new and seasoned French and American oak barrels in our cellars.

It's fabulously lifted and inviting, showing dark and purple fruit intensity with mixed spice, toasted nut, vanilla and olive notes. The palate is equally satisfying, delivering excellent fruit power as well as silky texture and fine tannins, making it comforting and highly appealing. At its best: now to 2031
