A whisky for Australian motor racing fans. Using a recording of David Reynolds and reigning Bathurst champion Lee Holdsworth’s respective race lap from the 2021 Bathurst 1000 we have sound aged reserve grade NED Australian Whisky.
The ageing process of whisky can be sped up using ultrasonic waves – in this case the sound of engines vibrating through barrels of whisky. Our reserve grade NED Whisky barrels were matured at our barrel house in Melbourne inside our sensory container. We blasted our barrels for over 1,000 hours with this recording, resulting in one of the most unique whiskies ever made.
This bottle is personalised with Penrite Racing’s David Reynolds’ racing number and name, as well as a map of the famous Bathurst racing track.
This is the second edition of our Sounds of Bathurst collection.
Tasting Notes:
Aroma: Chocolate with malted milk and dark toffee.
Taste: Oak, caramel and dark chocolate.
Finish: Long, with sweet oak and chocolate.
