Deep yellow in colour. Nose is pretty intense with ripe peach and grilled fig, and a touch of nutty funk. The palate is full of flavour with a line of freshening lemony acidity. Will definitely find fans among those who like a bigger, richer style of Chardonnay.

The colour is straw but the palate is long and lean. It has texture and whispers of sweet/malty oak but it’s also frisky and fresh. Not at all tart, but certainly a racier expression of the variety. Peach, pear, apple and oatmeal, before the oak swings in. It’s not really a wine for ageing but it needs another year in bottle to really express itself properly.
