About this product

Winery founded by Yarra Valley legend, this wine shows intense red berries, blackberry, red current and liquorice with notes of cassia bark lifted by fine oak aromas from 18 months maturation in French and American Oak. The palate is rich and concentrated with dark berry fruit, black cherry, chocolate and carob brought to the fore with delicate oak spiciness and full well rounded tannins providing structure and length of flavour.

Tried both the Shiraz and the Cabernet and was extremely happy with both. They carry a significant amount of fruit but each has other varietal nuances that will only get better with age. Going to buy more and keep in my cellar.. If I can.

I have been drinking Dixons Creek cab sav for a few years and is one I always go back to when I want something better than a quaffing wine that won't break the bank. Their Reserve Shiraz usually goes into the order too.
