Gold Medal - Sommeliers Challenge 2019 94 points - Wine Showcase Magazine 'New Release' Dec 19 Issue "Velvety nose with aromas of berries and spice. Lovely spice characters on the palate with plenty of varietal fruit in support." 90 points - James Halliday Wine Companion 2020 "I love grenache and McLaren Vale holds great promise for the variety. Kirsch, damson plum, candied orange zest and Asian spice. Oak allusions and some fuzzy tannins hold in the seams." (Ned Goodwin) 87 points - The Real Review "Medium ruby colour. Black cherries, cinnamon and cola aromatics. Quite full palate, cedar and blue fruits dominate, with a soft tannin line that carries it quite long. Soft and enveloping" (Stuart Knox) 4 stars - Winestate Magazine Mar/Apr Issue 2020 - "A light bodied style; balanced and focussed with spicy red fruit characters on the nose and palate and fine tannins. Needs Chilling."

"It seems simple, fresh and fruity at first but as it breathes the frameworks shows through, in a good way. Thin sheets of tannin, fresh acidity, a general tidiness, a dryness to the finish. The back label suggests that it tastes of blueberry and blackberry pie: add mint and gunmetal and there you have it. It's uncomplicated; it drinks well; it has just enough character."
