A rich, plump and cushy red. Aromas of Chinese five-spice, blueberry, anise, some fuzzy spice, pepper and oak tannins, American and French. The sort of rich, relatively soft red that drinkers seek from these parts. The tannins, all oak. Cabernet and more so, grenache, are the regional red wine champs. Shiraz, the bankroll.
