Grenache blended with 15% pinot gris, skin contact for 12 hours before pressing, fermented on full lees. A good rosé is a work of art. La Bise is a serious practitioner and it shows, in a wine of grace and charm, not to mention subtle flavour depth. Striking ruddy pink in colour. Gently scented dusty cherry, macerated strawberry, musk and dried herbs. Doesn't rush things on the palate, offering a dry, textural style with a crunchy red-fruit core. Of serious intent.

It’s grown mostly on the oldest grenache vineyard in the Adelaide Hills, where the vines are now 35 years old. There’s also some pinot gris in the mix, from the same vineyard. It’s lovely. Form, texture and length, for sure, but pure deliciousness too. Raspberry, citrus and orange jelly flavours, juicy and energetic, within a dry, almost chalky context. Great value, among other things.
