The handmade decanter attracts attention with its enormous size and the striking red stripe in the glass. The extravagant decanter is limited to 500 pieces. An impressive marriage of form and function, the elegant and imposing Ayam roosterinspired design is as innovative as it is functional. Its double decanting function allows young wines to open up and to show their full potential, creating a similar effect to aging the wine. Since the market launch of the Ayam decanter one year ago, it has attracted a great amount of attention, culminating in receiving the Good Design Award. Each crystal glass Ayam Magnum decanter is mouthblown and handcrafted in Kufstein, Austria. The individual units come along with a certificate signed by the glass blower who made it. Each decanter is a unique piece. One of a kind, and perfect. Thanks to a special packaging technique, the decanter appears to float inside the box when opened, so even that’s extraordinary. Ayam decanters have a dual decanting function, meaning wine is aerated as it is poured into and from the decanter. Thus, the time for the wine to open up is significantly reduced. A large amount of oxygen is mixed into the wine, which you can tell by the sonorous glugging sound it makes.
