Rich golden yellow in colour with an intriguing floral nose of blossom and stone fruit. The palate is rich and broad offering nectarine and white peach with back notes of citrus and grapefruit. A beautifully textural wine yet a pure, clean, mineral finish.

Concentration of fruit. Pleasing mouthfeel. Push through the finish. This is a white wine with much in its favour. Flavours of hay, grapefruit, melon and citrus, with a whisper of more earthen/herbal/twiggy notes. This is good.

Adds to the proposition that gruner veltliner is here to stay, particularly if planted in riesling country. I don''t see the white pepper endemic in Austrian gruner veltliner, but in other respects this is very much in the gruner famil, sturdy, but without any hint of coarseness or phenolics.
