The palate brings juicy Cabernet Sauvignon characters with ripe red berries, pepper and washed Earth giving a medium bodied mouth-feel full of red fruits, sweet spicy oak and a fine, soft, tannic finish.

Released as an 8-year old. Made by Jim and Jo Irvine but the final blend was put together by Kym Teusner. There's some talent for you. The varietal make-up is 52/40/8. It's soft and fully developed but the viognier doesn't stick out and without question it offers comfortable drinking. Not so much an old leather chair of a wine as an old stitched fabric sofa. Leather, enough blackcurrant, earth and dust-like notes. In a good drinking place, as they say.
