Clarendon Hills is a small family owned winery (5 Red Star James Halliday Rated) which produces wine to the highest standard.. The company was founded by biochemist Roman Bratasiuk in 1990. The story of Clarendon Hills is one of passion, dedication and commitment to exceptional wine. It all began when the biochemist and wine lover decided to produce his own wine. Though he had never trained as a winemaker, Roman let himself be guided by his refined palette and scientific knowledge. Following his favourite producers and preferred styles, Roman sought to make a version of the wines he loved.

Full bodied red wines have a noticeably textural mouthfeel with bold, complex flavours. Often deeply coloured.
Dry wines have no trace of sweetness at all.

Offers a warm parade of firm, hay-infused, blackberried flavour, one dimensional in many ways but a stunning dimension it is. A wall of favour with a wall of tannin melted into the back palate. Dark chocolate notes are certainly present but are neatly shrouded by the pitch blackness of the fruit. (Campbell Mattinson Winefront 95pts)

Attractive exotic baking spices, stylish roasted coffee, and dark chocolate all around blackberry fruits. Sweet, plush rich blackberry fruits and supple tannins cut the final shape in precise style. Deep and dark plum fruits linger impressively. Best from 2019.
