About this product

From a stunning Barossa red wine vintage of low yields and exceptional quality – one of the greats that produced classic Greenock Creek styled wines of robust flavour and firm structure. Sourced from a single block on the Westlake vineyard at Moppa in the rolling hills of the north western corner of the Barossa Valley. The site crests a hill top and is planted over an ancient seam of quartz stone. Plum & mulberry drive through the palate and linger long on the finish. Caramel & nougat hint at a complex impression of sweetness and roundness through the mid palate with a velvet, silken finish. Fermented in open slate fermenters for 7 days, basket pressed and matured in 20% new and seasoned French oak for 18 months. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. As is the Greenock Creek tradition, this wine will reward patience and cellaring, while being deliciously approachable as a young wine.
