About this product

Pale straw in appearance with a bouquet of lemon flowers and fresh cut limes, this Riesling is a generous and refreshing fruit driven style with a soft, velvety palate of exceptional length.
Tom Kies was a good friend of Belinda Hughes created DEAD MAN WALKING – a goulish name according to James Halliday, but one inspired by Tom’s “don't put it off, don't procrastinate, don't leave it until it's too late” approach to life. For whilst Tom was blessed with exceptional winemaking talent, a love of wine and great zeal for life, the development of this label and release of the first wine in 2016 was an integral piece of his valiant yet ultimately unsuccessful 9 year battle to overcome bowel cancer. As a devoted family friend Belinda Hughes has taken on responsibility for DEAD MAN WALKING to keep Tom’s winemaking vision alive, whilst also providing for his son’s education through placing part proceeds from the sale of each bottle into a trust fund.
