Engenho Buriti Famosinha de Minas Aged Cachaca is produced in the Papagaios region, renowned for high quality cachaca. The cane is cut properly and in correct times of the year without the use of fire. Its unique taste is due to its 24 month fermentation in barrels of Amburana, giving it a delicious sugar cane aroma and soft, well-balanced acidity.

The best cachaca but always out of stock!

Dan Murphy’s why is this always out of stock? My favourite cachaca but never available to buy, only some of the smaller suppliers stock this brand.

Certainly a large step up in flavour from the Pitu or Cachaca 51. The aging in wood barrels provides a floral honey character and far less 'pucker' when drunk straight on ice.

Served at a Melbourne Brazilian restaurant as Caipirinhas (think Mojitos without mint). Very dry rum, so the mix works well.
