Full purple-crimson; only 4 barrels of American and French oak were selected for this full-bodied wine, with layer-upon-layer of blackcurrant fruit, earth, tar and vanilla oak joining forces with powerful cabernet tannins on the finish; those tannins are ripe, not dry, and will soften long before the fruit fades.
