About this product

Purple-red, plums and spice aromas. A real aromatic, savoury element, somewhat reminiscent of Volnay. A whisper of quality new oak. The fruit is nicely ripe with mouthfilling flavours and as usual coating ripe, fine tannins. There is a pleasing line of mineral astringency on the long finish. This is very good and yearns for five years plus in the cellar yet is still pleasing to drink now. This newer style of Pommard is infinitely more appealing than many of the wines of yesteryear.
