slightly brighter fruit profile and complete structure that
they get from Sandra’s block. It has the ideal power and
weight to sit between their Jester Shiraz and premium
G.A.M. Shiraz. Angela is lifted with pure, ripe berry
flavours at the forefront and subtle oak, allowing the
fruit flavours to shine.

The sixth vintage of this wine is now made from 35-year-old vines. The 2017 Small Batch Series Angela Shiraz comes from the southern portion of McLaren Vale. Aged in 30% new oak, some cedar and vanilla notes accent red fruit flavors in this medium to full-bodied wine. Some savory-earthy notes and gentle tannins appear on the finish. Give it a year to better integrate the oak, then drink it over the next decade.

Wonderfully ripe, complex and inviting, the bouquet shows dark plum, mixed berry compote, vanilla and cedary wood characters with a touch of savoury note. The palate is equally impressive and delectable with excellent fruit power and intensity, superbly framed by silky tannins. Mouthfilling and delicious.
