When the poet Ovid was banished from Rome, he went to the Black sea, in modern day Romania: the region this wine comes from. Named in homage of the famous poet and the sorrow of his banishment, this white fortified wine has been aged in small oak barrel for five years, intensifying it’s richness and concentration. Golden yellow, it’s sweetness is balanced by good acidity, adding freshness to the long clean finish.
