When the poet, Ovid was banished from Rome, he went to the Black sea, in modern day Romania: the region this wine comes from. Named in homage of the famous poet and the sorrow of his banishment, this blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir is fortified and aged in small oak barrels for 5 years. Concentrated and sweet yet balanced by a combination of Cabernet characteristics of cassis, brambles and tannin and Pinot Noir’s light elegance and velvet mouthfeel.
