The Higher Plane Merlot is grown on the vineyard block that has higher clay to gravel mixture, and is medium to full-bodied, with good colour, the palate juicy and succulent with mid-palate weight, and supple with richness and persistence. The wine has aromas and flavours of raspberry, redcurrant, rhubarb, plum, lavender, fruitcake and spiced chocolate.
