Stefano Stefani came to Australia from Tuscany in 1985 and started producing wine in Victorias cool Yarra Valley in 1997. The View is a single vineyard on the high slopes of the family estate vineyard where the grapes were hand-picked, bunch sorted, pressed and cold settled. Fermentation and malolactic fermentations were done in French oak barriques and matured for twelve months on lees, with periodic stirring. Lightly fined and filtered, its an elegant, classic style of Chardonnay.
