Trois Citrus is Merlet's reinterpretation of the traditional orange liqueur: triple sec. For this, the Merlet family collaborated with one of the greatest bartenders in the world, Tony Conigliaro, to create a product perfect for use in cocktails. Trois Citrus combines three varieties of citrus: bitter orange, blood orange and lemon. The peel of each citrus fruit is macerated separately in a fine alcohol, then most of it is distilled. The distillates obtained are then assembled, as well as the non-distilled macerations. Finally, sugar is added to obtain the final liquor, but at a minimal rate. The different citrus fruits offer a unique complexity, and the low sugar level makes it possible to make dry cocktails, even use as a basic spirit thanks to the high alcohol level. The bitter touch of undistilled maceration reinforces the length and the dry side during tasting.
