Beautifully weighted, the intense fruit flavours of plum and blackcurrant are complexed by earthy tobacco and oak spice. An elegant and flavoursome wine of harmonious fruit and polished tannins. Matured in French oak (20% new) for 24 months (4 year air dried oak. Francois Frere and Taransaud Coopers tight grain.) Perfect for herbed lamb or salt and pepper pork on greens. Medium bodied red wines have a lightly textured mouthfeel with moderate flavour impact. Often medium in colour.

The palate is filled with succulent fruit intensity and savoury nuances, splendidly supported by fleshy texture and finely infused tannins, finishing persistent and sturdy. At its best: now to 2037.
