About this product

Founded in 1832, the house is the oldest business still operating in the Armagnac. Under the guidance of the Castarede family six generations on, Armagnac Castarede makes available vintage and non-vintage Armagnacs distilled primarily between 1900-2000 from throughout the Bas Armagnac. This XO has aromas of tobacco, dried herbs, dried flowers and toffee. On the palate it shows dates and prunes with a rich finish.

fantastic flavours and good aroma, better than more common cognacs at a similar price point. no alcohol bite or smell that you get with cheaper brandies, and smoother than butter. one of my all time favourites. oddly i prefer this out of a
