Stephen Pannell is widely recognised as one of Australia’s greatest winemaking talents. He has won Australia’s most prestigious wine award, the Jimmy Watson Memorial trophy, twice. He has been named Gourmet Traveller WINE Winemaker of the Year and has been crowned McLaren Vale Bushing King three years out of the past four. His early days saw him working in some of Australia’s most iconic wineries – Hardy’s Tintara ,Wirra Wirra and BRL Hardy. He then established his own label in the early 2000s and cemented his relationship with South Australia by setting up a cellar door in the heart of McLaren Vale in 2014. He has become synonymous with wines that are engaging, impeccably balanced and delicious to drink.  This third release of the Dead End Tempranillo is the most serious to date. It is a wine of real presence, complexity and depth. Highly perfumed, vibrant and complex with sweet black cherries, sarsaparilla, coffee beans and good hints of roasted exotic spice. Juicy, full and supple, but tannic right on the finish. The persistence of the tannins is the signature
