Domäne WachauBruck Federspiel Riesling 2017
About this product
Bruck is probably one of the most exciting and unique single-vineyards of the Wachau. It is situated on the very edge of Austria’s winegrowing zone. Thanks to the particular microclimate, the grapes in the south-facing and steep-terraced Bruck vineyard ripen beautifully. Wines from Bruck are characterised by distinctively cool scents and particular elegance.
The wine is lively yellow with green reflections. The distinctive “Bruck-style” is smoky with a precise structure and complex rich stone fruit and exotic aromas.
Smoky, flinty, lime and grapefruit, with a little white peach and honey. It’s intense and flavoursome, fresh and lightly chalky, preserved lemon in the mix, with a satisfying mouth-watering finish. Bold, but beautiful. 93 points. - Gary Walsh, The Wine Front December 2019
