About this product

Dveri is the old Slovenian word for door. Železne Dveri is also the name of the exceptional viticulture location close to Jeruzalem where Dveri–Pax maintains its vineyards. Pax is Latin for “peace” and also “inscribed”. Dveri-Pax makes refreshing, drinkable and typical wines from estate-grown fruit. The 2013 harvest was a bit delayed, with ideal weather in June, July and a hot August followed by a colder and wetter September. 2013 is a vintage of white wines with vibrant, ‘Styria’ acids, moderate alcohol levels and complex flavours.Furmint is the oldest variety of the district to which Dveri-Pax belongs. The fruit was hand-harvested and vinified in stainless steel tanks, then matured on yeast lees. The colour is light, lemony yellow. The bouquet is gentle and delicate, with notes of apple and ripe yellow pears.
