Thick oak and thick dark fruit. Shoot first, ask questions later. Coconut, chocolate, mint and toast notes are slathered on saturated blackberry and plum. Tannin is not impeccable but it roars through the wine with impressive force. Big-boned, big-bodied wine.

From vines average 40+yo, cool open-fermented on skins, matured vcin new French and American oak for 14 months. Full crimson-purple; supple, mouthfilling and hedonistic, with that velvety softness Langhorne Creek provides without sacrificing shape or focus; blackberry jelly beans and licorice strap are the flavours, even if they sound naff.
